By 2047, the Department of Mining, Government of Maharashtra, will establish the State as a frontrunner in sustainable and technology-enabled mineral development. This will be pursued through:

• Promoting scientific exploration and systematic development of mineral resources, including critical and rare-earth minerals.
• Leveraging advanced technologies for efficient monitoring, e-governance, and transparent operations.
• Strengthening institutional capacity, workforce development, and research-driven innovation.
• Encouraging mineral-based industries, cluster development, and value addition to attract investments and generate employment.
• Ensuring environmental protection, equitable benefit-sharing, and inclusive growth of mining communities, in alignment with national and state development goals.
